The side I am on is that they should not tax soda. The reason why I think that should not tax soda is, because that maybe some people would stop buying it but not everyone. Since that happens they will just raise the price and the tax. When they do that the business will be forced to close. That will leave more people job less. If they do not get a job soon they will not be able to afford medical help or a house.
The second reason that I disagree with is that the taxes could be spent on anything. They may not even put the taxes to medical centers. They may just spend it on something that does not need the money. If they also do that the people who are addicted will be come poor because they will buy a lot of soda and the tax will go higher.
